It includes experiential art workshops mainly taking place in cultural institutions, and is aimed at people with disabilities \/ psychiatric disorders living in psychosocial rehabilitation units or psychiatric hospitals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through art workshops, participants have the chance to interact with the exhibits, to explore and express different aspects of the Self, and from plain visitors-spectators to become creators,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cART UNCUT&#8221; visits various Cultural institutions in Athens and Thessaloniki, It also travels to Mental Health institutions in the Province, in order to facilitate access of vulnerable groups to Art and their active participation in artistic creation as a means of expression and advocacy. .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cART UNCUT\u201d aims to raise awareness and engage the community on issues related to integration of people with disabilities \/ psychiatric disorders and their access to Culture and Art, as a universal Human Right.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program adopts the \u201cMuseum as a vehicle for Social Change\u201d approach (Kawashima, 2006), Its goal is to influence society and explore ways that promote positive social change. In this sense, Museum exhibits provide a public open space for dialogue, lift of stereotypes through art education and promotion of self-advocacy for people with psychiatric experience and disability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The activities of the program include 1) art workshops in Athens, Volos, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, 2) exhibitions in open-air museums, 3) parallel activities such as open art studio, 4) lectures: Conference on: \u201cConflicts and tensions in the access of people with disabilities in Art and social inclusion: Whose Culture is it Anyway? \u201d, 5) Online exhibition and digital art competition on Psychiatry and Art.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Target Groups:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">people with psychiatric disorders and intellectual disabilities living in Supported Living Accommodations and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Institutions<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Art Therapy workshops in cultural institutions at Athens, Volos, Thessaloniki with people with psychiatric experience.
