The program is implemented in collaboration with three organizations: <strong>Everest Language School<\/strong> from Ireland, <strong>AMAKA<\/strong> from Greece, and <strong>Integra\u010dn\u00ed centrum Praha (ICP)<\/strong> from the Czech Republic. Together, they aim to create a comprehensive educational program that combines language learning with art therapy-informed techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program Objectives<\/strong><br>\u2022 Enhance the skills of language educators so that they can integrate therapeutic practices into the teaching of refugees and asylum seekers.<br>\u2022 Develop an educational program that combines language education with art therapy and other therapeutic approaches.<br>\u2022 Create educational materials and a guide for integrating these practices into teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activities<\/strong><br>\u2022 Study visits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Study Visit to Prague, to observe teaching practices and collect feedback.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study Visit to Greece, to explore the integration of art therapy-informed techniques into language education.<br>\u2022 Development of an 8-week curriculum.<br>\u2022 A 2-week pilot training seminar for educators from Greece, the Czech Republic, and Ireland.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Expected Outcomes<\/strong><br>\u2022 Creation of a comprehensive educational syllabus that integrates language teaching with art therapy-informed techniques.<br>\u2022 Improved ability of educators to support refugees and asylum seekers.<br>\u2022 Development of a guide and educational materials that will be made available for broader use by organizations working with vulnerable groups.<br>\u2022 Contribution to the creation of a more inclusive and supportive learning environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project seeks to create a comprehensive training program for educators that combines language teaching with therapeutic techniques. Through this, educators will be better prepared to support vulnerable students, enhancing teaching effectiveness and reducing the likelihood of drop-out. Simultaneously, a network of professionals will be developed to promote this approach in various educational settings.
