Konstantina\u00a0Rapti graduated from the University of Ioannina, School of Philosophy,\u00a0department of Philosophy-Education-Psychology\u00a0in December 2007.\u00a0Having a great interest and a strong belief in the beneficial aspects\u00a0of Theatre and Movement in people\u2019s\u00a0mental and social development,\u00a0she went on with her studies in Applied Theatre \u2013 Theatre in\u00a0Education and Drama with\u00a0Communities, MA course in Central School of\u00a0Speech and Drama, University of London, from where she graduated in\u00a02010. Her\u00a0professional interest was very soon drawn upon communities\u00a0in social exclusion. <\/span><\/p>\n

During her studies and her 3-year stay in the\u00a0UK, she had the chance to work as a drama facilitator in a variety of\u00a0educational environments, with multiple socially excluded\u00a0and\u00a0vulnerable communities, such as prison inmates and ex-prisoners,\u00a0young people at risk of offending, women victims of\u00a0domestic abuse,\u00a0elder people and children with special educational needs. In May\u00a02011, Konstantina moved back to Athens-Greece, where she had the\u00a0chance to meet and work with the NGO AMAKA, for one and a half years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time she got\u00a0herself involved as an Applied Theatre\u00a0practitioner in several artistic and educational projects taking\u00a0place in Athens at that time.\u00a0She worked as an educationist in\u00a0Amnesty\u2019s International school programs concerning the Human\u00a0Rights, as a movement\u00a0therapist for women in \u201918 Ano\u2019 drug\u00a0rehabilitation centre, and she took part in \u2018Dagipoli\u2019 dance\u00a0company \u2013 a theatre collaboration\u00a0of disabled and non disabled\u00a0dancers and performers. Throughout her working experience with\u00a0diverse communities she\u00a0developed excellent communication, lesson\u00a0planning, activities leading and coordination skills. <\/span><\/p>\n

In February\u00a02013, she moved to\u00a0Berlin for two months to work as a director\u2019s\u00a0assistant in Benedict Bindewald\u2019s musical theatre production \u2018The\u00a0fair\u2019s fair isn\u2019t fair\u2019.\u00a0At the moment, she is back in London,\u00a0making her first steps as a Drama facilitator in the UK\u2019s\u00a0educational system. In her free\u00a0time, she still enjoys attending\u00a0dance classes, or testing herself in several challenging sports\u00a0activities.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
