When art meets history, politics and therapy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

How do we teach human rights to people who are deprived of their freedom?<\/p>\n

What are the historical elements of the European Union that might help cultivate a healthy political consciousness?<\/p>\n

How will the new developments in the labor market contribute to the smoother reintegration of these vulnerable groups?<\/p>\n

And how does all this connect to Art Therapy?<\/p>\n

AMAKA in the context of the program \u201cE.U.R.O.P.E.\u201d organizes a four-day seminar \u201cEUROPE FROM THE INSIDE OUT\u201d. The seminar is for volunteers, NGOs or individuals, active or intending to be active in contexts of confinement and want to conduct educational and art seminars.<\/p>\n

The seminars will be conducted in collaboration with the University Collegium Civitas, in Poland, the NGO Slawek Foundation from Poland, and the NGO Valto-sav Alapitvany\u00a0from Hungary. For four days, AMAKA\u2019s trainers and those from the aforementioned institutions will present to the participants elements taken from the history of the European Union and of human rights, as well as tools which can be used to teach these concepts to people who are being deprived of their freedom.<\/p>\n

Two of the seminar days will be theory-based, while during the last two days the team will deal with specific techniques and art therapy methods, which AMAKA has been applying on vulnerable groups for years. This seminar is FREE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Attending all 4 days is mandatory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Upon completion of the course, a certificate of attendance will be given to the seminar\u2019s participants from the University Collegium Civitas, while 12 volunteers will have the opportunity to practically implement all that they learned during the realization of short -in duration- workshops at detention facilities in Greece.<\/p>\n

The seminar will be conducted in English.<\/p>\n
