The program is based on the previous project of AMAKA MOUSEIOSKEUES (funded by the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports, 2020) which fits within the framework of psychosocial rehabilitation and de-institutionalization via art therapy in Museums. International research highlights that access to Culture for people with disabilities in Greece is limited (Ramos, 2016; Bardini, 2017; Barn\u00e9s &amp; Jim\u00e9nez, 2020) although it is considered a universal Human Right (United Nations, 1948).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The objectives of the program are<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a) to ensure freedom of expression and promotion of art,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">b) to beat stereotypes and discrimination around disability and mental illness through artistic creation,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">c) to promote the cultural expression of disabled people through innovative actions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">d) to promote active participation and social integration of people with disabilities in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">art and culture,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e) to encourage networking and cooperation of cultural and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">social institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>The expected results are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Art workshops, Artistic creation, Collaborations between artists with psychiatric disorders\/disabilities and Museums in Athens and Thessaloniki<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amaka.gr\/projects\/whose-culture-is-it-anyway\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Whose Culture is it anyway?<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Customized tour guide<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amaka.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Mes_sto_mouseio_activities_book_FinalDraft.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">In the Museum: Exercises for a customised tour<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sponsored and supported by:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Action implemented within the framework of the &#8220;Points of Support&#8221; program, which is co-financed by the Ioannis S.
