Art Therapist

Niovi Stavropoulou is a licensed psychologist and art psychotherapist (Member of the British Association for Art Therapists, and European Federation of Art Therapists) with over 10 years of experience in psychiatric institutions (NHS) in Scotland and in youth shelters in Greece. She has been designing and conducting Educational Workshops for People with Special needs in Museums and other cultural institutions in Greece. She is responsible for Inclusive Education in the Educational department of the Museum of Cycladic in Greece, and founding member of AMAKA. Her clinical experience involves the implementation of multimodal art therapy workshops in prisons with delinquent youth and women, victims of sex trafficking, refugees, and children at risk. She has provided Mental Health Psychosocial Support training to professionals working with youth at risk and clinical supervision to mental health providers.
