AMAKA was founded in Athens in 1998 with the aim to support and assist vulnerable and non-favored groups such as immigrants, refugees, children with disabilities, prisoners in institutions, organizations, municipalities, schools e.t.c. Through innovative programs and activities, using “tools” such as artistic education, treatment through the performing arts and new media such as video and photography, they design and implement programs in partnership with the private and public sector and qualified personnel from Greece and abroad, depending on the needs of each project.
